Christy Fargnoli 843.970.2700 (office) 843.970.1780 (fax) christy@clawsonfargnoli.com

Christy co-founded Clawson Fargnoli, LLC in 2017 and represents people who have suffered a life-altering injury or death due to the negligent or wrongful acts of others. Christy strives to provide aggressive, cost-effective representation for her clients. This ranges from employing a strategy to posture a case for a positive settlement to trying the case to a jury verdict.

Christy is originally from Walterboro, South Carolina and has lived in the Lowcountry for most of her life. She attended Newberry College on a basketball scholarship, where she received a Bachelor of Arts degree in political science. Christy then attended the Charleston School of Law, where she graduated cum laude and received CALI awards for academic excellence in Trial Advocacy and Constitutional Law. While in law school, Christy sat on the Executive Board of the Charleston Law Review, serving as both an Articles Editor and Symposium Editor. Christy was also a member of numerous organizations while in law school, including the Student Trial Lawyers Association.

Christy has tried numerous cases to verdict and represents her clients in both state and federal courts in South Carolina. She takes pride in seeing her hard work pay off with favorable results for her clients. Christy represents plaintiffs in a wide variety of cases including personal injury, motor vehicle accidents, slip/trip and falls, wrongful death, defamation (libel and slander), dram shop (liquor liability), brain injury, insurance bad faith, and nursing home abuse.

Christy also handles cases involving campus sexual abuse and Title IX violations. She represents students who have been sexually assaulted on campus, as well as students who have been wrongfully accused of disciplinary violations. Prior to founding Clawson Fargnoli, Christy served as a Title IX investigator for college campuses in numerous high-profile matters. This experience gives her a unique perspective in representing plaintiffs who have been wronged by a college, university, or educational institution.

Christy is honored to have been listed in the 2013-2017 editions of Super Lawyers Magazine as a Rising Star in the area of civil litigation. Less than three percent of the lawyers in South Carolina receive this honor. Christy was also awarded an AV Preeminent rating from Martindale Hubbell, the highest such rating available to an attorney. She is also an active member of the South Carolina Association for Justice (SCAJ).

When not working, Christy can be found at the beach, rooting for the Clemson Tigers, enjoying live music, or spending time with her dog Bodie in search of the perfect dog park.
